Many people are wondering why they named their coffee shop Stream Coffee; here, the owner explains the story behind the name. The Chinese character “川” means mountain and is the owner’s given name. QING (清) is from the idea of a famous Chinese handwriting artist (Wang Xi Zhi) and his remarkable work “Lan Ting Ji Xu” . In this poem he described a place with mountains and massive bamboo plants that had a stream flowing in-between.  The owner wants to offer customers a space that can make them feel comfortable during the summer, meanwhile warm during cold winters like the place Wang Xi Zi described in his poem. When you walk into Stream, you can feel the atmosphere right away, its more like a cozy home that makes you feel relaxed versus a traditional coffee shop.
